Job summary

Dow in Illinois is seeking an Associate Analytical Technician at our Kankakee site to support manufacturing operations by conducting laboratory analyses, preparing samples, maintaining instrumentation, and reporting results to production personnel. This role requires a High School Diploma or GED, willingness to work 12-hour rotating shifts, overtime as needed, and legal work status in the United States.

Qualifications

• Requires a High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Willingness to work 12-hour rotating shifts.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Train to perform routine analyses under supervision.
• Collect samples according to the Sample Plan.
• Perform basic preventative maintenance of analytical systems.
• Evaluate data validity for routine analyses and take action.
• Monitor analytical systems and escalate issues as needed.
• Document and archive analytical results and data.
• Follow EH&S and ODMS procedures for tasks.
• Suggest improvements to lab processes and tools.
• Escalate non-routine requests to the appropriate team member.
• Perform lab housekeeping and restock inventory.
