Job summary

ABB is seeking a Field Service Engineer to partner with customers on-site and remotely, delivering value through troubleshooting, commissioning, and preventive maintenance of analytical equipment. The role requires strong collaboration with customers and teammates, and the ability to travel up to 90% with a preferred home location in Pittsburgh, PA.

You'll identify opportunities to improve operations, prepare material lists, and ensure quality components are available for service activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Technical Degree with 2+ years, or Associate's/HS with 5+ years experience.
• Strong background in startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance of analytical products.

Responsibilities

• Work with the customer on-site to identify opportunities to improve operations and eliminate pain points.
• Perform field service tasks, troubleshoot, and perform analysis on certified products.
• Prepare material lists and ensure timely availability of parts and equipment.
• Provide training to field service staff and customers as needed.
• Conduct commissioning/start-up service and preventive maintenance on analytical equipment.
