Job summary

ABB in the United States seeks a field service professional to work on-site with customers, identifying opportunities to improve operations and reduce pain points.

The role involves commissioning/start-up services, troubleshooting/repair, and preventative maintenance on measurement and analytical equipment, with travel to the West Texas area (Midland, Odessa, Lubbock preferred). Training of field service staff and customers may be required.

Responsibilities

• Working with the customer (while on-site) to identify opportunities to improve the customer’s operations and eliminate pain points.
• Performing field service tasks, identifying technical issues, and performing analysis through remote or on-site activity in service categories and products for which they are certified to perform.
• Preparing material lists needed for service activity and ensuring that all materials, parts, and equipment are available and of appropriate quality for service activities.
• Acting as trainer when needed, for field service associates and customers.

The work model for the role is: Hybrid with 90% travel required and West Texas area (Midland, Odessa, Lubbock preferred).
