Job summary

Serif Biomedicines, a Flagship Pioneering-backed biotech, is seeking a Scientist I for the Analytical Development and Quality Control team in Cambridge, MA. You will contribute to building efficient systems for testing samples, method development, and data delivery while mentoring teammates in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial setting.

You’ll run assays, develop and qualify analytical methods for nucleic acid cargo and LNP products, document results, train others, and support platform advancement

Qualifications

• BS with 10+ years, MS with 8+ years, or PhD with 0+ years of related industry experience.
• Experience with HPLC separations and plate-based assays (ELISA, qPCR/dPCR, residual protein).
• Ability to independently design, execute, and troubleshoot complex experiments; mentoring experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up, maintain, and optimize a system for efficient sample testing and data delivery.
• Lead experimental studies to optimize analytical methods for nucleic acid cargo and LNP products.
• Document lab activities in protocols and reports; train team members on new assays.
