Job summary

Nabsys in Providence, RI seeks an Analytical Development Scientist/Senior Scientist, Consumables to lead HPLC-based method development and QC for sample prep components, supporting consumables manufacture as demand grows. You will build measurement infrastructure and author SOPs for quality control of biotech consumables.

You will collaborate across engineering and biology teams to advance sample prep chemistry, data analysis, and quality system development in a fast-paced startup environment.

Qualifications

• PhD in analytical chemistry, biochemistry, molecular biology, or related field.
• 2+ years analytical development, process development, or similar lab experience in biotech or pharma.
• Hands-on HPLC experience including method development.
• Experience with a range of analytical techniques and data analysis.
• Background in genomics, nucleic acid chemistry, or molecular biology preferred.
• Proficiency in UV-Vis, SDS-PAGE, gel electrophoresis, and PCR.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Build and implement the QC framework for sample prep components.
• Develop, optimize, and validate HPLC methods for analysis.
• Lead preparative-scale production of sample prep components (AKTA/FPLC).
• Execute production of additional sample prep consumables.
• Perform incoming raw material QC and finished-goods checks.
• Execute timepoints for shelf-life studies and data reporting.
• Author SOPs, qualification protocols, and analytical reports.
• Collaborate with engineers and scientists to advance chemistry and quality systems.
• Communicate findings and recommendations to cross-functional teams.
