Job summary
Vertex Pharmaceuticals LLC in Boston, MA, seeks an Analytical Development Scientist to lead development of analytical cell lines for potency assays and for characterization of biologics. Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Cell Biology or related field with industry experience in biologics analytical development or bioassay design.
- Master’s in biology with relevant experience in biopharmaceutical analytics.
- Bachelor’s in biology with significant industry experience in biopharmaceutical analytics.
Responsibilities
- Lead development of analytical cell lines for potency and functional bioassays.
- Develop, validate and transfer cell-based bioassays (e.g., reporter gene, signaling, cytotoxicity).
- Collaborate across Research and Analytical Development and manage CROs as needed.
- Ensure data integrity and regulatory readiness of documentation.
