Job summary

AMVAC is seeking a Scientist, Analytical Chemistry in Commerce, CA to lead analytical method development and validation across products, impurities, and degradants. You will oversee GLP studies, collaborate with QA, Regulatory, and Manufacturing, and mentor junior staff.

Requirements include an MS or PhD in Analytical Chemistry with 5+ years of industry experience, proficiency in chromatography, MS techniques, and data analysis, plus strong problem-solving in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• MS in Analytical Chemistry or closely related field. PhD preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute analytical testing and physical characterization of products.
• Lead method development and validation for manufacturing facilities.
• Lead development, optimization and validation of advanced analytical methods.
• Support process development, scale-up and technology transfer.
• Lead investigations of unknown compounds and impurities.
• Serve as SME for chromatography, spectroscopy and MS.
• GLP Studies: director role with proper SOPs.
• Maintain GLP SOPs and continuous improvement.
• Mentor junior scientists and lab personnel.
• Evaluate and implement new analytical technologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support product registrations.
• Prepare and review technical reports and regulatory submissions.
• Maintain and calibrate analytical instrumentation.
• Stay updated on analytical trends and EH&S requirements.
