Job summary

Lilly in Indianapolis, IN is seeking an analytical chemist to join the Synthetic Molecule Design and Development team. Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master of Science in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemistry, or a related field.
• Experience with chromatographic method development or validation in pharmaceutical, chemical, or regulated industry.
• Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; Lilly will not sponsor visas.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize analytical methods to measure purity, potency, and other quality attributes of small molecule drug substances and intermediates.
• Select and implement analytical techniques (HPLC, GC, NMR, MS) to support chemical process development and transfer methods to GMP labs.
• Assess stability of development materials under stressed conditions to evaluate potential degradation.
• Collaborate with synthetic chemists and process engineers to ensure methods guide development and manufacturing testing.
• Perform laboratory activities with safety and technical rigor, adhering to policies.
• Identify new concepts, solve problems, and contribute across multiple projects.
• Communicate results clearly to represent technical and business implications.
