Job summary

Lilly in Indianapolis seeks a technical leader to head analytical efforts for drug substance and product development, while mentoring a small team of analytical scientists. You will design and validate analytical methods, justify specifications, and drive stability studies to support clinical and regulatory milestones.

The role requires hands-on leadership, collaboration across chemists, formulation scientists, and engineers, and experience with IND/CTA, NDA/MAA submissions.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in analytical chemistry or bioanalytical chemistry with >8 years in pharma.
• Leadership of analytical teams in drug development and commercialization.

Responsibilities

• Lead analytical efforts for drug substance/product development and commercialisation.
• Mentor and develop a small team of analytical scientists (2–4 reports).
• Develop analytical methods, justify specifications, and design stability studies.
• Coordinate technology transfer to CRO/CMO and Lilly manufacturing sites.
