Job summary

Cardinal Health’s Revenue Cycle Management team is seeking a full-time RCM associate to support medical billing, claims submission, denial management, and payment review across the US.

The role requires 2+ years in RCM, familiarity with ICD-10, strong Excel skills, and excellent communication. Remote hours Monday–Friday with competitive benefits including 401(k), HSA, PTO, and health coverage.

Qualifications

  • HS, GED, bachelor’s degree in business related field preferred, or equivalent work experience.
  • 2+ years' experience within Revenue Cycle Management preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Familiarity with ICD-10 coding.
  • Able to multi-task and meet tight deadlines.

What Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) contributes to Cardinal Health

Revenue Cycle Management team focuses on a series of clinical and administrative processes that healthcare providers utilize to capture, bill, and collect patient service revenue. The revenue cycle shadows the entire patient care journey and begins with patient appointment scheduling and ends when the patient’s account balance is zero.

Responsibilities
  • Submitting medical documentation/billing data to insurance providers
  • Researching and appealing denied and rejected claims
  • Preparing, reviewing, and transmitting claims using billing software including electronic and paper claim processing
  • Following up on unpaid claims within standard billing cycle time frame
  • Calling insurance companies regarding any discrepancy in payment if necessary
  • Reviewing insurance payments for accuracy and completeness
