Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an Origination Specialist to support long-term power sale agreements for renewable energy and storage projects in a cross-functional team. You will research market dynamics, develop customer proposals, and prepare materials for competitive solicitations, working with Commercial, Development, Finance, and Engineering stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in a related field
• Exposure to U.S. energy markets, renewable energy, infrastructure, utilities, or related industries
• Familiarity with renewable energy technologies (solar, wind, storage)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Ability to balance customer needs with business objectives and adapt to evolving priorities
• Effective written, verbal, and presentation communication
• Strong organizational and project management capabilities
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, Word, SharePoint)
• Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM is a plus

Responsibilities

• Support sourcing, evaluation, negotiation, and execution of long-term power sale agreements
• Collaborate with Commercial, Development, Finance, Engineering to deliver origination transactions
• Conduct market, customer, and competitive research for business development
• Prepare and maintain internal analyses, presentations, transaction materials, and RFP summaries
• Develop customer proposals and presentation materials for competitive solicitations and bilateral opportunities
• Monitor industry developments, market trends, policy changes, and emerging opportunities
• Support improvement and standardization of commercial and transaction processes
• Assist in evaluating opportunities and advancing projects from customer engagement through execution
• Report to the Senior Director of Origination

• Collaborate with Commercial, Development, Finance, Engineering, and other stakeholders to deliver origination transactions
• Conduct market, customer, and competitive research for business development and strategic decision-making
• Prepare and maintain internal analyses, presentations, transaction materials, and RFP summaries
• Develop customer proposals and presentation materials for competitive solicitations and bilateral opportunities
• Monitor industry developments, market trends, policy changes, and emerging opportunities
• Support continuous improvement and standardization of commercial and transaction processes
• Assist in evaluating commercial opportunities and advancing projects from customer engagement through transaction execution
• Report to the Senior Director of Origination

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Environmental Studies, Physical Sciences, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
• Exposure to U.S. energy markets, renewable energy, infrastructure, utilities, or related industries
• Familiarity with renewable energy technologies, including solar, wind, and battery energy storage systems
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Ability to balance customer needs with business objectives and navigate evolving priorities
• Effective written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
• Strong organizational and project management capabilities
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, Word, and SharePoint
• Ability to collaborate effectively within diverse, cross-functional teams
• Experience with Salesforce or other customer relationship management (CRM) platforms is a plus
