Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a senior business development professional to analyze data, build financial models, and manage renewable energy projects across wind and solar. You will craft competitive proposals, interpret RFP requirements, and coordinate with leadership to meet deadlines.

The role requires travel in the U.S. and Canada, strong communication skills, and deep knowledge of energy markets. A degree in a related field and 4+ years of industry experience are expected.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Analyze data, conduct research, build financial models, and manage transactions.
• Contract PPS, Renewable Energy Credits, and tax credits.
• Develop market collateral for wind and solar projects.
• Lead proposals for RFPs and competitive processes.
• Interpret RFPs and assess competitive viability.
• Coordinate with Power leadership on needs and deadlines.
• Schedule weekly briefings on new and pending RFPs.
• Track proposal progress with Power team.
• Lead market research for prospective offtake for new projects.
• Collaborate with teams across U.S. and Canada.
• Travel up to 5% within U.S. and Canada.

• Analyze data, conduct research, perform financial modeling, and manage transactions
• Contract Power Purchase Agreements, Renewable Energy Credits, and tax credits
• Develop bilateral market collateral for wind and solar projects
• Lead preparation of proposals for competitive Requests for Proposals
• Interpret RFP requirements and assess Enbridge's competitive viability
• Communicate key needs and deadlines to Enbridge's Power leadership team
• Coordinate weekly briefings on new and pending RFPs and bilateral solicitation opportunities
• Conduct proposal progress status meetings and follow up with Power business team members
• Lead market research to identify prospective offtake for new project developments
• Collaborate with teams across the U.S. and Canada
• Occasional travel of less than 5% within the U.S. and Canada

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, energy, sustainability, or a related field
• 4 or more years of experience in a business development or sales role in the wind, solar, or broader clean energy industry
• Candidates without a university degree require an additional 3 years of experience, for a total of 7+ years
• Deep intellectual curiosity for renewable energy and energy markets
• Effective communication abilities and successful history partnering with internal and external clients
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Acrobat Pro
• Ability to travel within the U.S. and Canada
• Legally authorized to work in the country where the position is located without current or future sponsorship
• Ability to meet physical requirements, including light-to-moderate lifting, reaching, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual and hearing requirements
• Ability to meet mental requirements, including understanding instructions, solving complex problems, collaborating, organizing and prioritizing work, decision-making, completing forms, composing basic reports, and communicating by telephone
