Job Description And Duties

Under the general direction of the Supervisor I, Performance Manager, the Analyst III, Performance Analyst, provides high-level consultation, technical and strategic guidance and direction to supervisors and managers regarding confidential, complex and sensitive employee issues related to the progressive discipline process, policy implementation and performance improvement. The Analyst III evaluates, researches and ensures district-wide policy and procedure implementation is addressed consistently and fairly, to ensure regional operations align strictly with department goals and mitigate legal risks. The Analyst III plans, coordinates and conducts highly sensitive confidential investigations involving ethics violations and other complex claims/complaints. The Analyst III ensures timeliness of investigations and delivery, and compliance of all investigations with the highest legal and ethical standards. The Analyst III may represent the District as settlement authority in administrative settlement conferences and/or hearings.

  • Describe your qualifications for serving as an Analyst III, including your experience coordinating the work of others, acting as a team leader, identify concerns, applying policies and procedures, conducting research and analysis, communicating sensitive information and making recommendations to management. Please provide specific examples that demonstrate your experience.
  • Offer examples that highlight your ability to communicate clearly and effectively in both verbal and written formats.
  • Please describe instances in which you have interpreted and applied organizational manuals, policies, procedures, training materials, or established practices. Highlight your role and the outcomes of these efforts.
  • Describe how you handle challenging customer interactions, including the strategies you use to maintain effective communication and defuse tense situations.
  • Explain how you manage competing priorities in a fast moving work setting, including how you organize tasks and maintain balance when handling multiple responsibilities.
