CalRecycle is seeking an Analyst I for the Beverage Registration Unit in Sacramento County on a 12-month limited-term, full-time basis. The role focuses on registering beverage manufacturers and distributors, reviewing forms for compliance, and guiding public inquiries.
Hybrid telework is offered with eventual in-office requirements. The incumbent will analyze data, provide program information, and support outreach to potential program participants.

We are looking for a strong communicator with tact and professionalism who is self-driven, and customer focused to assist with the registration of Beverage Manufacturers and Distributors (BM & DS). To be successful in this position you will need to work cohesively with a team, manage multiple tasks and be open minded and flexible to new ideas and solutions. The classification for this position is Analyst I.
This position will perform professional work associated in the registration of beverage manufacturers and distributors. The incumbent will review, analyze and process detailed technical forms associated with registration, product determinations and California Redemption Value message label compliance. The Analyst I will provide detailed program information and directions to public inquiries and will gather, research and analyze data to ensure outreach and education is provided to all potential program participants.
This position is not eligible for a visa sponsorship. Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without the need for a visa sponsorship by the start date of employment.
Beginning July 1, 2026, CalRecycle staff will be office centered, requiring employees to report to the office at least four days per week. This position may be eligible for hybrid telework under Government Code 14200, subject to the candidate meeting telework eligibility criteria set forth in the CalEPA telework policy and/or future program needs. Employees not residing in California are not eligible for telework. Regardless of telework eligibility, all employees may be required to report to the positions designated headquarter location, as reflected on the duty statement and at their own expense.
