Job summary

FedEx Freight seeks an HR Data Analyst to deliver data-driven insights for Human Resources Administration through complex analysis, testing, reporting, dashboard creation and data visualization.

The role supports HR best practices by developing queries, validating data, maintaining procedures, creating training materials and presenting findings to management. Collaboration with HR Technology, Legal and Operations Research enables compliant, efficient processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in business, human resources, statistics or related field, plus two years’ experience in HR or data analysis
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Power Automate, Forms, SharePoint)
  • Knowledge of data-driven web applications (QMF, SigmaXL) preferred
  • Experience with data mining tools and data visualization (SAS, SQL, Spotfire, Oracle) preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all management levels and vendors
  • Self-starter, independent yet collaborative, and able to handle sensitive data with discretion
  • Knowledge of HR and system business processes, and project management experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist in identifying control weaknesses and recommend risk mitigation strategies
  • Ensure FXF regulatory compliance for state, local, federal requirements for postings; collaborate with Legal to maintain compliance
  • Analyze data methods, evaluate, develop, test and implement HRA processes
  • Create and maintain project vision and scope initiatives
  • Develop and validate queries for reporting and database analysis with HR Technology to ensure data integrity
  • Document testing for new HRA features, upgrades and conversions
  • Research new system functionality for implementation with HR Technology and Operations Research
  • Maintain HRA procedure documentation and update on process changes
  • Develop and update training materials for end users and conduct training sessions
  • Transition reporting processes to more efficient visualization (Oracle, Spotfire) with internal teams to resolve data issues
  • Comply with all applicable laws/regulations and company policies
  • Perform other duties as required

POSITION OVERVIEW

Assist in delivering data and analytical insight to support and develop HR best practices for Human Resources Administration (HRA) through complex analysis, testing, reporting, dashboard creation and data visualization.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Assist in identifying control weaknesses and recommending risk mitigation strategies
  • Responsible for FXF regulatory compliance for state, local, federal requirements for postings. Work with all functions, including Legal to maintain FXF regulatory compliance to avoid penalties, fines or potential litigation
  • Assist in identifying control weaknesses and recommend risk mitigation strategies
  • Participate in analyzing data methods, evaluating, developing, testing and implementing HRA processes
  • Participate in the creation and maintenance of project vision and scope initiatives
  • Develop and validate queries for reporting and database analysis while partnering with HR Technology to avoid overlap and data integrity
  • Create and complete necessary testing and documentation for new HRA features, upgrades and conversions
  • Research new system functionality and applications for implementation, partnering with applicable functions (e.g. HR Technology, Operations Research)
  • Maintain HRA procedure documentation pertaining to new processes, changes to existing processes and system enhancements
  • Develop and update training materials for end users and participating in training sessions as required
  • Continually transition existing reporting processes and deliverables into more efficient visualization (Oracle, Spotfire, etc.; work with internal teams to identify and resolve data issues
  • Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures
  • Perform other duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in business, human resources, statistics or other related field plus two (2) years’ experience in human resources or data analysis
  • Good computer skills in Microsoft Office 365, PowerAutomate, Forms, SharePoint, etc.
  • Knowledge of data driven web based applications (QMF, SigmaXL) preferred
  • Experience using data mining tools and data visualization: Statistical Analysis Software (SAS), Structured Query Language (SQL) Spotfire and Oracle, preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management, employees and outside vendors
  • Self-Starter who can think independently and works well with others
  • Must be able to handle sensitive data with discretion
  • Good analytical and problem resolution skills including troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of human resources and system business processes and practices, preferred
  • Project management experience, preferred
