• Respond to internal customer questions and assist with ad hoc projects.

A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a Financial Analyst 2 Position type:Full-time, Contract Duration: 08 Months Location: San Antonio, TX

As a Financial Analyst 2 you will:

• Prepare, analyze and distribute various financial and statistical reports, to include variance explanations utilizing cost tracing and root-cause analysis.
• Prepare schedules and supporting documents for annual external audit.
• Update department dashboards, including calculating ratios and graphing trends.
• Monitor benchmarks and analyze variances to those benchmarks.
• Perform reconciliations to ensure accuracy of data.
• Evaluate and recommend policies and procedures that comply with accounting and financial regulatory bodies.
• Perform technical research and write position papers to ensure documentation of implemented policies and procedures.
• Prepare and update desktop procedures, including flow charting and similar processes, while assessing current processes and recommending process improvements.
• Supports process improvement initiatives in the areas of cost and margin enhancement, risk mitigation, and operational effectiveness.
• Provide a high degree of service to internal customers by responding to financial and operating questions.
• Perform other projects and process improvement initiatives as assigned.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Knowledge of accounting/analyst experience in a field supporting and providing financial, technical, analytical and operational solutions.
• Relative experience in financial/project management for Operational Units.
• Ability to work in a variety of locations such as the field, construction centers and the main office.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Package, including word processing, spreadsheets, database, presentation software, electronic mail and scheduling.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

• Master's degree or relevant Certification.
• Proficient in SAP, PeopleSoft, or Hyperion.
• Relative experience in supporting the electric or gas utility industry.

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:

Pay Range*: $40 to $43.16/hr. *Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
