Job summary

FedEx Freight in Memphis, TN is seeking a finance professional to conduct basic research, evaluations and analyses related to short and long-term financial planning requirements. The role is domiciled at a FedEx Freight location in Memphis TN or Harrison, AR, with on-site work several times per week.

You will compile and analyze operating and financial data, assist in forecasting and long-range plans, and prepare management presentations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business or a related quantitative/analytical discipline
• Strong analytical and critical thinking
• Basic knowledge of accounting theory and financial analysis
• Detail oriented with good organizational and time management
• Clear, effective, professional communication
• MS Office experience (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Responsibilities

• Compile, analyze and evaluate operating and financial data

• Assist department owners with tools for forecasting, budgeting and overall department assessment

• Participate in special projects driven by current company needs or business conditions
