Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an Analyst, Cloud Ops to design, implement, and manage Windows-based infrastructure. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, high-performance Wintel solutions, including AD, IIS, and SQL Server components.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 5+ years of Windows system administration, infrastructure engineering, and solution architecture experience.
• Hands-on experience with Windows Server (2012 and later), Active Directory, and core Microsoft services.

Responsibilities

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Analyst, Cloud Ops with strong engineering and architectural expertise to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing Windows-based infrastructure solutions, including servers, applications, and associated technologies. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure high performance, security, and reliability of the Wintel environment while driving strategic architecture initiatives aligned with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Architecture & Design
• Design and architect scalable, secure, and highly available Windows-based infrastructure, including:
• Windows Servers
• Active Directory
• Core enterprise services
• Develop high-level architectures, technical designs, and detailed documentation for Wintel initiatives.
• Align infrastructure designs with organizational standards and long-term IT strategy.
• Implementation & Configuration
• Deploy, configure, and maintain:
• Windows Server environments
• Active Directory services
• IIS, SQL Server, and related components
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as:
• PowerShell
• Ansible

• Identify and implement performance tuning and optimization strategies.

• Provide expert-level support for Wintel infrastructure issues.
• Troubleshoot and resolve:
• Hardware, software, and network-related problems
• Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to resolve complex technical challenges.
• Drive improvements in system reliability and operational stability.
• Documentation & Knowledge Management
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for:
• Architecture designs
• System configurations

Salary Range: HIRING SALARY RANGE: $70,000-85,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) This role also offers a competitive Sales Incentive Plan that will take into account volume and margin on a project, quarterly, and annual basis. This position includes a competitive benefits package. The posted salary range reflects the target compensation for this role.
