Job summary

Yoh, a Day & Zimmermann company, seeks an Electrical Design Engineer (Mixed/Analog) on-site in Wichita, KS to design avionics power electronics and battery interfaces across the product lifecycle.

Responsibilities include analog front-end design, mixed-signal integration, component research, lab testing, documentation, and supporting manufacturing. Requires a BS in EE and 5+ years in analog/mixed-signal design; proficiency with PADS/LTSpice, EMI/EMC practices, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 5+ years of analog and mixed-signal design experience.
• Proficiency with schematic capture/design & simulation tools and PCB layout software.
• Knowledge of signal integrity, impedance matching, and EMI/EMC design practices.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement analog front-end circuits (amplifiers, ADC/DAC interfaces, filters) for accurate signal processing.
• Lead mixed-signal system integration, verifying reliable data conversion, filtering, and conditioning stages.
• Research and evaluate components, technologies, and methods for new and existing designs.
• Build, test, and troubleshoot hardware in both office and lab environments (including soldering and hands-on bench work).
• Validate performance against stringent requirements using lab tools (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers).
• Create high-quality engineering documentation (BOMs, ECOs, test protocols, work instructions, and component rationales).
• Support manufacturing needs by designing/integrating tools for new products as required.
