Job summary

AHC Hospitality in Grand Rapids area is seeking a full-time Laundry Associate to support guests across our hotel properties. The role requires weekend availability and offers benefits including medical, dental, and vision, 401K, paid vacation, parking discounts, free meals, and employee discounts at hotels and restaurants.

Responsibilities include loading and operating laundry equipment, folding, and maintaining cleanliness while following hotel policies and guest service standards.

This is a full-time position requiring weekend availability.

SUMMARY:

To be able to perform all duties in the laundry to the standers set forth by the Department and Hotel.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Feed sheets, table linen, napkins, and pillowcases in to iron.
• To be able to catch items that comes out of the iron.
• Load, unload, and run the dryers
• Be able to run the towel folder
• Attend departmental meetings.
• Follow AHC handbook policies and standard operating procedures.
• Actively working, always looking for ways to assists guests and going above and beyond to provide guest service.
• Ensuring the quality and level of service that the General Manager, Manager on Duty and Guests expect is excellent and follows our company standards and policies.
• Reads or listens to the Daily Beat.
• Reads and understands all memos that pertain to the valet parking department.
• Uses other AHC hotels and staff as resources.
• Complete all daily responsibilities/cleaning task list.
• Follow our hotel green policies.
• Ensure trash/recyclables are taken out.
• Follow AHC guest service standards.
• Actively work with department staff, while following all departmental rules.
• Any other additional responsibilities that may be asked by General Manager, Manager on Duty, Department Manager, or Supervisor.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Must be able to walk, and stand for upwards of 8 hours.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Related experience is preferred.
