Six Flags’ Carowinds is seeking a Ride Mechanic II - Industrial Maintenance to inspect, repair and rehabilitate amusement rides and related systems. You will work on gearboxes, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and safety-critical components, ensuring reliable operation and guest safety.

The role requires 4–6 years of mechanical maintenance experience, including ride work, and location-specific certifications or licensing. Flexibility for nights, weekends, and holidays at the park is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license. Location-specific ride certifications may be required.
• 4–6 years mechanical maintenance experience, including 2 years on rides.
• Welding certification preferred.

Responsabilités

• Performs daily, weekly, monthly, annual inspections of amusement rides and related equipment, taking corrective actions as issues are identified.
• Troubleshoots mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems and takes corrective actions.
• Maintains documentation of repairs and inspections, and submits paperwork to supervision in a timely manner.
• Communicates ride status verbally and in writing to stakeholders.
• Maintains equipment safety according to codes, laws, rules, policies, and best practices.
• Reads manufacturer manuals and blueprints for service and component replacement; documents as required.
• Interacts with supervisors, park managers, staff, guests, vendors, contractors and inspectors.
• Provides guest service according to Six Flags standards when assisting guests.
