Job summary

Carowinds in Charlotte, NC, seeks a Maintenance Technician Level II to inspect, maintain, and repair a variety of amusement rides. You will work diverse shifts, including nights and weekends, and uphold safety standards.

You will handle gearboxes, chains, hydraulics, pneumatics, and related systems, read manuals and blueprints, document repairs, and collaborate with park teams to keep attractions safe and reliable for guests.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• 4–6 years mechanical maintenance experience; at least 2 years on rides.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to read manuals and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections and preventive maintenance on rides and related equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Maintain repair documentation and inspection logs.
• Communicate status to supervision and park managers.
• Ensure safety guidelines and regulatory compliance at all times.
• Collaborate with different teams and assist guest services as needed.
