Job summary

Legends Global in Long Beach is seeking a Director of Operations for the Long Beach Amphitheater. You will lead the Operations department, overseeing Engineering, Building and Grounds, Safety, IT, and more to ensure flawless event operations.

Requires a bachelor’s degree in Management or Maintenance Engineering and at least 2 years of supervisory experience, strong organizational and communication skills, and flexibility for extended hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Management or Maintenance Engineering.
• Minimum of 2 years’ supervising or managing experience.
• Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills with all staff levels.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel) and Maintenance Manager software.
• Ability to work with limited supervision and as part of a team.
• Ability to work flexible and extended hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Direct, supervise, and schedule all aspects of Operations across departments.
• Coordinate Operations with other departments and contractors for readiness.
• Implement and update facility rules, policies, and procedures.
• Provide clear communication of directives to departments.
• Oversee maintenance of the physical plant, systems, and vehicles.
• Assist in annual operating budget and long-range capital planning.
• Negotiate with vendors and service providers; manage safety policies.
• Coordinate outside vendors/contractors for projects and safety compliance.
• Serve as Manager on Duty (MOD) as required.
