The CAR Group (Norm Reeves Dealerships) in Cerritos, CA is seeking an AMO clerk to manage service contract registrations, warranty products, and refunds for extended service contracts and aftermarket items.

You will handle cancellations, payables, reconciliations, and scheduling tasks across stores, maintaining records and ensuring compliance. Automotive dealership experience and solid accounting knowledge are required.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Full-time availability.
• Background working for an automotive dealership required.
• Strong understanding of general accounting principles, including debits, credits, and journal entries.
• Proficiency in Computers- Microsoft Office, databases, and spreadsheets.
• A valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
• Excellent organizational and follow-up skills.
• Maintain a professional appearance and work ethic.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Remit payment to Extended Service Contract companies and aftermarket products.

Job description

Location: Cerritos, CA | On-Site | Full Time | $20-$22 an hour | Schedule: Monday through Friday 8am-5pm
AMO clerk would be responsible to remit payment to the Extended Service Contract companies as well as Gap and other aftermarket products sold. They would also process the cancelations of these products and issue the refunds to either the consumer or the lenders. Does payables and heavy reconciliation and schedule cleaning.
The AMO position registers Service Contracts and aftermarket warranty products as well as preparing cancelation refunds and schedule cleaning for each store.

• Follow-up on outstanding claims
• F&I, Ethos, AMO reconciliations and cancellations
• Reserve reconciliations
• Used car purchases and dealer trades
• Maintaining all service and customer records as required by the warrantor
• Accurately coding after market claims and entering into the dealerships automated system
• Processing warranty paperwork to ensure documentation and verifying criteria required by factory or distributor
• Reviewing after market claims and correcting any errors
• Administering warranty identification and disposal
• Maintaining good working relationships with all departments
• Keeping abreast of all factory recalls and announcements
