Job summary

ARCO/Murray National Construction in Nashville is seeking a Concrete Project Manager who thrives in design/build environments to oversee projects from preconstruction through closeout.

Qualifications

  • BS in Engineering, Construction Management or related field preferred.
  • 3+ years' of construction management on concrete projects in the industrial or commercial sectors.
  • Proficiency using Word, Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Project.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate all managerial and administrative aspects of project from preconstruction through closeout.
  • Develop preliminary concept drawings and project budget with clients and design team.
  • Review scope, costs, and contracts in proposal meetings and negotiate fees.
  • Oversee subcontractor selection and buyout process for all trades and vendors.
  • Identify opportunities to procure materials or equipment when advantageous to budget or schedule.
  • Work with project teams to develop scopes of work, schedules, and site logistics.
  • Lead preconstruction planning meetings with designers, subcontractors and vendors to solve constructability or manpower issues.
  • Organize and manage multiple activities to achieve results.
  • Track project performance vs budget; prepare pay applications, cost status, and progress reports.

ARCO/Murray National Construction is seeking a highly motivated Concrete Project Manager who is passionate about the design/build construction process to join our team in the Nashville market. A Day in the Life:

  • Lead and coordinate all managerial and administrative aspects of project from the earliest stages of preconstruction through project closeout
  • Work closely with clients and the design team to develop preliminary concept drawings and project budget
  • Participate in the proposal meetings to review the scope of work, discuss ways to reduce costs, provide value engineering ideas, and negotiate contracts & fees
  • Oversee subcontractor selection and buyout process for all trades and vendors
  • Identify and investigate opportunities to procure material and/or specialty equipment directly when advantageous to project budget or schedule
  • Work with Project Superintendents to develop and review scopes of work/contracts, project schedule, and site logistics plan
  • Lead preconstruction planning meetings with all designers, subcontractors and vendors aimed at solving potential constructability, sequencing, and/or manpower issues
  • Organize, plan, and manage multiple activities to accomplish desired results
  • Track and manage project performance vs budget; prepare owner pay applications, cost status, and progress billing reports

Necessary Qualifications:

  • BS in Engineering, Construction Management, Concrete Management or related field preferred
  • 3+ years' of construction management on concrete projects in the industrial or commercial sectors
  • Proficiency using Word, Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Project
