Job summary
Nestlé USA is seeking a 2nd shift IS technician to maintain ammonia refrigeration systems and related equipment at our Schaumburg facility. You will monitor pressures, log data, and perform repairs across boilers, glycol, and HVAC systems.
The role requires a Boiler Operator license and strong safety discipline; training is provided to level-1 technicians. Competitive hourly pay and comprehensive benefits accompany the position.
Qualifications
- Hands-on competencies across utility disciplines (steam, refrigeration, glycol).
- Operate and maintain boilers, ammonia refrigeration, glycol, and related systems.
- Read gauges, relays, and safety devices; follow troubleshooting procedures.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and log ammonia system pressures and temperatures.
- Follow CMMS work orders and perform repairs on refrigeration equipment.
- Maintain HVAC and glycol systems per SOPs and safety standards.
- Control labor and material costs while improving processes.
- Ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance in all tasks.
- Coordinate vendor inspections and assist on level 1 tech training.
