Qualifications

• 1-2 years in commercial refrigeration environment/boiler operation
• English reading, writing and speaking
• Basic math including percentages
• Ability to pass a Prove It test
• Knowledge of NH3 refrigeration principles
• Ability to read schematics
• Hazmat & confined space training
• Mechanical ability to analyze and repair production machinery
• Willing to work weekends and various shifts
• Ability to work with minimal supervision

Responsibilities

• Installs new equipment, repairs and modifies refrigeration/HVAC and boiler equipment.
• Performs preventative maintenance on all equipment including rebuilding compressors and boilers.
• Trains other maintenance mechanics in ammonia refrigeration/HVAC/Boiler operations.
• Possess the ability to obtain/state license if mandated.
• Assists other maintenance mechanics as needed.
• Ability to work with limited supervision and report concerns to Supervisors.
