Fair Oaks Foods is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support ammonia refrigeration systems and plant utilities at our Wisconsin facility. You will perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting across compressors, condensers, evaporators, pumps, and related equipment, coordinating with contractors and internal teams to ensure safe, compliant operations.

Qualificações

• Minimum 3 years of experience in mechanical/refrigeration/utilities in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
• 3 years of experience working with Ammonia refrigeration.
• GCAP Ammonia Technician Certification preferred.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ammonia refrigeration certification preferred.
• Certificate in HVAC preferred.
• PSM training preferred.
• Knowledge of equipment setup, functions, operating procedures, and preventative maintenance techniques.
• Experience working in a maintenance department, preferably in an automated food processing plant.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office, Google Suite CMMS and L2L.
• Must be able to provide own hand tools.
• Ability to adjust quickly to changing demands.
• Must be able to work with limited supervision.
• Must be able to cover other days and weekends as needed.
• Must be able to climb ladders and do work on aerial work platforms as needed.
• Must be able to work in all types of conditions including cold work in the wintertime and hot work in the summertime.
• Must be able to read and interpret P&ID drawings.

Responsabilidades

• Maintains ammonia refrigeration system and related equipment.
• Performs PMs and repairs on compressors, condensers, evaporators, pumps, vessels, and valves.
• Collaborates with refrigeration contractors, electricians, and pipefitters to ensure safety and standards.
• Performs duties as assigned by Maintenance Manager/Supervisor or Engineering.
• Ensures continuous operation of facility utility systems to support production schedules.
• Coordinates internal and external resources for facility maintenance.
• Assists in PSM/RMP documentation and training requirements.
• Provides technical analysis and real-time data on refrigeration systems.
• Ensures ammonia compressors operate safely and efficiently to reduce energy use.
• Performs preventive maintenance to keep equipment in good condition.
• Troubleshoots electrical, mechanical, hydraulics, pneumatics, and plumbing.
• Uses drawings and vendor diagrams to complete PM documentation.
• Handles maintenance emergencies as required.
• Maintains clean, safe work area and adheres to QA, GMP, safety policies.
• Maintains product quality, legality, and safety in manufacturing processes.
• Other duties as defined.
