Job summary

Saputo Cheese USA Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform routine preventative maintenance on refrigeration, HVAC, and related systems at our Wisconsin facility. You will work with outside contractors, maintain logs, and ensure safe operation of equipment.

The role requires reading diagrams, ammonia systems familiarity, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, plus an associate degree in mechanical/HVAC or equivalent experience.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, comprehend, follow instructions and perform basic math.
• Must troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns using manuals and drawings.
• Proficient with software used in department including CMMS and MS Office.
• Ability to read mechanical/electrical diagrams.
• Ammonia Operator training within 6 months of assignment.
• Basic electrical knowledge including NFPA 70e requirements.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds and work in cold environments.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and perform routine preventative maintenance and services; coordinate with outside contractors.
• Inspect ammonia refrigeration system, HVAC, water heating, boiler/condenser water systems; maintain logs.
• Maintain housekeeping of work areas; manage chemicals/parts storage.
• Operate forklifts and aerial platforms; complete daily inspections.
• Adhere to GMP, food safety, quality programs and safety guidelines; report hazards.
• Attend required training and meetings; support weekend/holiday work as needed.
