Job summary

Americold Logistics seeks a skilled maintenance mechanic to perform independent preventive maintenance and repairs across the warehouse. You will inspect, repair, and overhaul refrigeration systems, doors, dock equipment, conveyors, and electrical subsystems, ensuring safety and efficiency.

You’ll test and calibrate HVAC and other equipment using meters and gauges, review reports, maintain records, and support after-hours callbacks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• RETA courses preferred; certification in 6 courses within 18 months.
• HAZMAT trained preferred; certification required.
• Must be certified to test sprinkler systems if present.
• Knowledge of OSHA PSM program.

Responsibilities

• Performs repair and adjustment of refrigeration, doors, dock boards, racks, sweepers, sprinklers, forklifts, pallet trucks, and electrical work per OSHA.
• Inspects equipment to ensure OSHA/compliance with standards.
• Reviews inspection/repair reports to evaluate efficiency and quality.
• Tests and calibrates HVAC equipment using meters and gauges.
• Inspects completed work for conformity to blueprints and safety standards.
• Troubleshoots equipment and recommends corrective action.
• Maintains tools, batteries, and safety equipment; performs tests.
• Maintains preventive maintenance records and duties as required.
• Adheres to attendance, after-hours callbacks, and housekeeping.
• Performs related assignments as required.
