What our employees value most about our site is our team environment and culture, as well as our many holiday events!What We Have to Offer$34.67 per hour up to $38.23 per hour depending upon skillset and experienceShift differential for 2nd and 3rd shiftUp to 120 hours (15 days) vacation annually11 paid company holidaysPaid time off benefits401(k) with company matchMedical, dental, life insuranceCareer growth and cross-training opportunitiesYour Work Schedule and Shift Information8-hour shifts2nd shift: 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm3rd shift: 11:00 pm to 7:00 amC urrently hiring for 2nd shift and/or 3rd shift dependent upon business needTwo days off per scheduled work weekMust be willing to work overtime, weekends, nights, holidays and emergency events as neededPlant operates 24 hours/day, 7 days/week.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIESAs part of our manufacturing team, you will:Perform specific preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, mechanical and electrical repair, and other tasks and techniques to keep refrigeration systems in operational conditions to meet production, refrigeration, storage, and shipping needs.Perform daily rounds/checks of ammonia systemProvide technical support and plant leadership for refrigeration equipment troubleshooting and modificationLearn, follow, and engage in Process Safety Management (PSM)Perform both uptime and down time preventative maintenanceUnderstand and follow all company safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environmentEffectively communicate and productively interact with all levels of team personnel and outside contractors, vendors, visitors, etc.Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives to increase platform performanceAssist in training new employeesMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSHigh school diploma or GEDMust possess the ability to understand and effectively communicate with co-workers, supervisors, and others in the workplace regarding work matters (our business is generally conducted in English)Working knowledge of industrial ammonia refrigerationWorking knowledge of 120/240/480- volt systems, HVAC, pneumatic and hydraulic systemsMinimum 2 years of steam boiler experienceMinimum 2 years of electrical and/or mechanical maintenance experienceMinimum 2 years of refrigeration experience or equivalent education preferredRETA Operator 1 and/or 2 certification is preferred but required after hireAbility to work independently and as a team with flexibility to quickly shift work prioritiesAbility to lift up to 50 lbsAbility to stand, walk, climb, bend, push, pull, and twist for extended periodsWillingness to work in hot, cold, noisy, wet, or dusty conditionsAbility to climb and/or work at heights while utilizing stairs, ladders, personnel lifts, or platformsAbility to follow human and food safety, quality, and grooming standardsAbility to wear such as protective clothing and equipment (Personal Protective Equipment -PPE) such as safety shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection, hard/bump cap, hair/beard net, gloves, and face masks (when required)Ability to work around high-speed machinery and food allergensELIGIBILITYApplicants must meet a minimum 18-year age qualification.EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER (EOE)General Mills is an equal opportunity employer.
