Job summary

General Mills in Murfreesboro, TN is seeking a Maintenance Technician to install, maintain, repair and replace industrial processing and packaging equipment. The role supports plant operations across 2nd and 3rd shifts.

You will troubleshoot mechanical issues, participate in root cause analysis, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives while working with a safety-conscious team. Starting pay is $32.61/hour, up to $35.20/hour with shift differentials; overtime opportunities apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 1 year of experience in a manufacturing maintenance role or a technical degree in industrial maintenance or engineering
• Working knowledge of PLC, pneumatic and hydraulic systems preferred
• Ability to communicate effectively in English with coworkers and supervisors
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in hot, cold, noisy, dusty conditions
• Willingness to work overtime, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, repair, and replace industrial processing and packaging machinery, tools and equipment
• Identify and troubleshoot mechanical issues
• Provide technical support and plant leadership for equipment troubleshooting and modifications
• Understand, initiate, and participate in Root Cause Analysis (Why, Why)
• Perform uptime and downtime preventative maintenance
• Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives to increase platform performance
• Assist in training new employees
