We pride ourselves in serving the world by making food people love!What We Have to Offer15 days (120 hours) of vacation annually and 11 paid holidaysGreat paid time off benefits401(k) matchHealth Insurance- Including medical, vision, dental and lifeAnd much more!Your Work Schedule and Shift Information12-hour shifts on a 2-2, 3-2, 2-3 scheduleNight shift: 5:50 pm to 6:20 amAbility and willingness to work overtime, any shift, including days, nights, weekends, and holidaysPlant operation is 24 hours per day, 7 days per weekKEY ACCOUNTABILITIESAs part of our manufacturing team, you will:Manage, operate, and maintain all building utilities and support equipment including but not limited to ammonia refrigeration system, boilers, steam, and air compressors systemsPerform duties to ensure operational efficiency of plant and building equipment by performing routine preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment as neededPerforming daily rounds/checks of ammonia systemProviding technical support and plant leadership for equipment troubleshooting and modificationLearning, following, and engaging in Process Safety Management (PSM)Performing both uptime and downtime preventative maintenanceAssist maintenance technicians as neededUnderstanding, initiating, and participating in Root Cause Analysis (Why, Why)Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives to increase platform performanceAssist in training new employees as well as engaging in your individual trainingMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSHigh school diploma or GEDMinimum 1- 2 years of electrical and/or mechanical maintenance experience or Technical Trade Certification (Industrial Maintenance or HVAC)Proficiency in basic computer skillsWorking knowledge of ammonia refrigeration preferredWorking knowledge of HVAC, Compressed Air, Electrical Power Distribution and Steam systems preferredMust have the following or the ability to obtain within 12 months in role:RETA CARO/CIRO certificationExperience operating and maintaining an ammonia refrigeration system is preferredMust be able to meet requirements for using an APR respirator and SCBAMust be able to perform within a Hazmat teamProficiency in basic computer skillsMust possess the ability to understand and effectively communicate with co-workers, supervisors, and others in the workplace regarding work matters (our business is generally conducted in English)Ability to lift up to 50 lbsAbility to stand, walk, climb, bend, push, pull, and twist for extended periodsWillingness to work in hot, cold, noisy, wet, or dusty conditionsAbility to climb and/or work at heights while utilizing stairs, ladders, personnel lifts, or platformsAbility to follow human and food safety, quality, and grooming standardsAbility to wear such as protective clothing and equipment (Personal Protective Equipment -PPE) such as safety shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection, hard/bump cap, hair/beard net, gloves, and face masks (when required)Ability to work around high-speed machinery and food allergensELIGIBILITYApplicants must meet a minimum 18-year age qualification.EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER (EOE)General Mills is an equal opportunity employer.
