What our employees value most about our site is our team environment and culture, as well as our many holiday events!What We Have to Offer$21.30/hour starting payUp to 120 hours (15 days) vacation annually (depending on schedule)11 paid company holidays401(k) with company matchMedical, dental, life insuranceCareer growth and cross-training opportunitiesYour Work Schedule and Shift Information8-hour shifts2nd shift: 2 pm to 10 pm or 3 pm to 11 pm3rd shift: 10 pm to 6 am or 11 pm to 7 am12-hour shifts – You only work 15 to 16 days a month!Overnight shift: 6 pm to 6 am or 6:30 pm to 6:30 amRotating crew pattern: 3-2-2-3 schedule (3 on, 2 off, 2 on, 3 off)Currently hiring for: 8-hour 2nd shift; 8-hour 3rd shift; 12-hour Overnight shiftMust be willing to work overtime, weekends, nights, and holidays as neededPlant operates 24 hours/day, 7 days/week.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIESAs part of our manufacturing team, you will:Support packaging and processing operationsTroubleshoot problems with machinery and partner with maintenance staff to resolve issuesCalibrate processing and packaging systems daily to meet required specificationsParticipate in equipment startup, changeovers, and shutdownsPerform quality and safety checksClean and sanitize production equipment and work areasParticipate in continuous improvement initiativesAssist in training new employeesAssist other plant areas as assignedMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSHigh school diploma or GED3 or more years of experience in manufacturing/production environment and/or successful completion of Joplin Plant Temporary Worker Production Assignment preferredBasic computer skills with the ability to use digital tools and systems to complete daily work tasksMust possess the ability to understand and effectively communicate with co-workers, supervisors, and others in the workplace regarding work matters (our business is generally conducted in English)Ability to lift up to 50 lbsAbility to stand, walk, climb, bend, push, pull, and twist for extended periodsWillingness to work in hot, cold, noisy, wet, or dusty conditionsAbility to climb and/or work at heights while utilizing stairs, ladders, personnel lifts, or platformsAbility to follow human and food safety, quality, and grooming standardsAbility to wear such as protective clothing and equipment (Personal Protective Equipment -PPE) such as safety shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection, hard/bump cap, hair/beard net, gloves, and face masks (when required)Ability to work around high-speed machinery and food allergensELIGIBILITYApplicants must meet a minimum 18-year age qualification.EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER (EOE)General Mills is an equal opportunity employer.
