Job summary

Lineage is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep our ammonia refrigeration and associated systems running safely and efficiently. You will troubleshoot, repair, and improve mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration systems across our cold storage facilities, including hands-on work with ammonia refrigeration equipment.

Qualifications emphasize 3+ years or trade school training in ammonia refrigeration, with preferred hands-on ammonia system experience and relevant RETA/IIAR certifications.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience or trade school training in refrigeration maintenance (ammonia).
• Hands-on experience with ammonia refrigeration systems preferred.
• Ammonia refrigeration certifications (RETA, IIAR, or equivalent) are a plus.
• Skilled with hand and power tools; basic computer proficiency.
• Able to lift 50 lbs and work in cold environments (-20°F to 100°F).

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, and repair mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration systems to ensure reliable operation.
• Perform preventive maintenance on ammonia refrigeration systems, upholding safety and compliance standards.
• Adhere to the design specifications of the refrigeration systems through periodic testing and inspections.
• Troubleshoot and repair material handling equipment and facility control systems.
• Document maintenance activities and communicate updates to leadership.
• Maintain a safe, organized workspace and support continuous improvement efforts.
