Job summary

Target is hiring an Engineering & Facilities Ammonia Technician to ensure high equipment availability. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshoot ammonia systems, and collaborate with other technicians to resolve complex issues while upholding safety standards.

The role requires strong electrical/mechanical skills, ability to read schematics, and training others. Expect a challenging environment with opportunities to mentor peers and improve reliability.

Qualifications

• Excellent PC competency and ability to use mobile apps on handheld devices.
• Familiar with wiring diagrams, symbols and electrical measuring.
• Experience with preventive/predictive maintenance procedures for ammonia systems.
• Blueprint and schematic reading and work order management.
• Industrial electrical, controls and electronics with PLCs.
• NeC and IIAR/RETA knowledge are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot ammonia refrigeration equipment including evaporators and compressors.
• Participate in Target's Process Safety Management program.
• Complete preventive and corrective maintenance tasks.
• Repair or replace components and perform equipment cleaning and lubrication.
• Read electrical schematics and develop repair plans with team.
• Provide technical training to maintenance technicians.
