Job summary

Lineage Logistics is seeking a Maintenance Technician III (Ammonia Refrigeration) to support the upkeep of our industrial cold storage facility. You will perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on refrigeration systems and related electrical/mechanical building systems.

The role requires hands-on troubleshooting of ammonia compressors, condensers, evaporators, and controls, with documentation in CMMS and close collaboration with safety and operations teams.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of industrial refrigeration experience (ammonia, Freon, and/or CO2) preferred.
• 3+ years of mechanical/electrical maintenance experience in a warehouse, processing, or manufacturing environment.
• Basic understanding of electrical instrumentation, P&IDs, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills; able to convey technical details to non-technical audiences.
• Proficient in basic computer applications (Word, Excel, CMMS).
• Ability to work in extreme temperature environments (−20°F to 100°F) and lift up to 40 lbs.
• Flexible to work various shifts, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on industrial refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, and building systems to ensure optimal uptime and safety.
• Troubleshoot and repair ammonia compressors, condensers, evaporators, valves, and controls in compliance with all PSM/RMP and IIAR standards.
• Conduct regular inspections, performance testing, and calibration of refrigeration and electrical components to maintain system integrity and efficiency.
• Document all maintenance activities and parts usage in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Support and monitor contractors working on or near refrigeration systems, ensuring full adherence to company and regulatory safety protocols.
• Communicate system status, findings, and maintenance recommendations clearly to leadership and cross-functional teams.
