Job summary

Ammonia Refrigeration/Boiler Technician in Sioux Falls, SD, is a full-time role with a 12-hour rotating night shift. The technician will perform refrigeration and boiler duties and assist maintenance on shift.

Responsibilities include RETA certification attainment, safety leadership, equipment repairs, inspections, and coordination with operations to ensure compliance with food safety and GMP.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED with 1+ years in industrial maintenance or food manufacturing, or 4 years direct experience.
• Experience in three or more listed maintenance areas.
• Basic computer skills and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Have or be able to attain RETA certification.
• Demonstrate strong safety leadership and follow safe work practices.
• Work as part of a team to plan and conduct equipment repairs.
• Conduct routine audits and equipment inspections.
• Demonstrate troubleshooting abilities.
• Maintain open and professional communication with operations.
• Respond to unplanned/emergency work requests in a timely and effective manner.
• Follow food safety and good manufacturing practices.
• Be highly motivated and able to work independently.
