Job summary

Westgate Resorts in Las Vegas is seeking a Title 31 Compliance Specialist to analyze cash and cash-related casino transactions and report them under FINCEN BSA guidance. You will review both cash and non-cash activity for potential suspicions and prepare Currency Transaction Reports and SARs as needed.

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Job Description

General Summary Of Duties: Title 31 Compliance Specialist is responsible for conducting reviews and analysis of customers’ cash and cash related transactions in the casino systems; reporting transactions according to the FINCEN BSA guidance and requirements.

Role and Responsibilities: (Includes but is not limited to the following)

• Review cash transactions; create and review Currency Transaction Reports.
• Review cash and non-cash transactions for potentially suspicious activities; create and review SARs as needed and issue exceptions as required.
• Barring Patron status if necessary.
• Actively contribute to departmental performance with accuracy, confidentiality, and knowledge of departmental policies and procedures.

Qualifications

Performance Requirements: (Knowledge, skills and abilities)

• Problem solving/analysis.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Outlook, Word and NEWave.
• Attention to detail.
• Organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations. Ability to decipher various reports and maintain reports upon request.
• Knowledge of Gaming Industry and casino operations is preferred.
• Self-starter who is able to work independently without daily, direct supervision.
• Self-motivated team player with a positive attitude and integrity.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
• Ability to prioritize tasks.

Additional Information

Education and/or Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Requires a minimum of one (1) year experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, such as policy and procedure manuals, instructions, emails and other related documents.
• Ability to respond to common inquiries from other employees or guests.
