Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club in Pennsylvania seeks an Assistant Club Manager in Training to provide leadership within the club and drive performance for designated departments. The trainee receives targeted development aligned to Merchandising, Perishables, or Member Experience tracks and oversees alignment with club policies and standards.

The role includes onboarding, talent development, and ensuring high standards of member service, safety, and operational excellence during assigned shifts.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in retail store, supermarket, or warehouse operations management.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills with ability to manage large teams.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain ServSafe certification.
• Forklift operator experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic department leadership: oversee daily operations across assigned departments.
• Recruit, hire, and onboard team members to build capable teams.
• Oversee labor planning and scheduling to align with budgets and trends.
• Drive sales, inventory control, and shrink management to protect margins.
