Job summary

NorthWestern Energy is offering an Intern - AMI Mitigation and Deployment to support the Customer Care team and the AMI project across Montana or South Dakota service locations.

The role provides technical training to deploy and mitigate AMI endpoints, gather data requests, and test updates with field resources, with a pay range of $20.00–$21.00 per hour and seasonal/part-time scheduling.

Qualifications

• Engineering, Business, IT, or CS degree path required.
• Sophomore level or higher by start date; good academic standing with GPA in resume.
• Strong customer service and computer technology problem-resolution skills.
• Solid knowledge of Windows OS, servers, networks, security, and continuity practices.

Responsibilities

• Support AMI project by interacting with stakeholders to identify requirements.
• Help deploy and mitigate endpoints for electric and gas meters.
• Test updates and issues with field resources; collaborate with care and vendors.
• Create and maintain process, training, and technical documentation.
