Job summary

New Star Family Justice Center is seeking an AMFT / ASW Therapist to provide individual, group and family counseling to victims of domestic violence. This role also offers opportunities to reach teens through Project Camp HOPE, with supervised hours toward licensure.

Strong communication and teamwork are essential; bilingual candidates are preferred. Master’s degree and completion of 40 hours victim advocate training within two months are required, along with BBS registration.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Behavioral Science; licensure track in progress.
• One year work experience preferred.
• Must complete 40 Hours victim advocate training within first 2 months and obtain Victim Service Provider certification.
• Must be registered with BBS.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, group and family counseling for victims of domestic violence.
• Facilitate the 10-week Domestic Violence Education Classes.
• Maintain activity reports and assist with monthly grant requirements.
• Participate in staff meetings and ongoing training.
