Job summary

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Utah County seek AmeriCorps STEM Specialists for the 2026-2027 school year. You will deliver hands-on STEM education, lead lessons after school hours, and track student progress at multiple elementary sites.

You will serve as an AmeriCorps member, completing 450 service hours and earning an Education Award upon completion. Position offers a living allowance of $7,200 per term, disbursed bi-weekly, and an Education Award of $1,956.35.

Qualifications

• 18+ years of age.
• US citizen or legal permanent resident.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Meet CNCS requirements.
• Experience working with children.
• Knowledge of youth development.
• Ability to work with the school and general public.
• Plan and implement quality programs for youth.
• Organize and supervise members in a safe environment.
• CPR and First Aid Certifications may be required.
• Valid State Driver's License.
• Preference for STEM/education background.

Responsibilities

• Lead STEM lessons during the weekly time allocation.
• Maintain records of lesson plans and track data for youth served.
• Complete weekly timesheets and a monthly report.
• Evaluate progress of youth using surveys and rubrics.
• Build positive relationships with youth, families, and staff.
• Promote program participation and provide guidance to members.
• Ensure safety, conduct, and development of members.
• Oversee program quality and appearance of the organization.
• Participate in weekly staff meetings and grant trainings.
