Job summary

Center for Justice Innovation seeks an AmeriCorps Coordinator in Brooklyn, NY to oversee the Red Hook Community Resilience Corps. You will manage administrative tasks, supervise member experiences, recruit and train AmeriCorps members, and collaborate with HR to address personnel matters.

You will build partnerships with local organizations, coordinate events, and implement retention and professional development initiatives, helping members complete terms of service and pursue educational

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in youth development, workforce development and/or program implementation.
• Excellent written skills are a must.
• Candidate must be skilled communicator able to work in a multi-disciplinary setting and maintain strong relationships with multiple agencies and organizations both onsite and in the community.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day administrative tasks related to the AmeriCorps program.
• Facilitate recruitment, enrollment, and training of AmeriCorps members.
• Provide ongoing support to members ensuring a positive experience.
• Collaborate with HR to manage personnel matters related to AmeriCorps members.
• Ensure compliance with program guidelines, policies, regulations, and audits.
• Coordinate logistics for AmeriCorps member service activities, events, and training sessions.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of member documentation.
• Support the department’s programming and initiatives, as needed.
• Develop strategies to enhance the overall experience of AmeriCorps members.
• Provide individualized support and coaching to participants.
