Job summary

LyondellBasell, a leader in the global chemical industry, seeks an APS Americas HSE Manager to provide regional HSE leadership for manufacturing in the US and Mexico. This role partners with site leaders to strengthen compliance, risk reduction, and HSE systems, supporting GoalZERO and Operational Excellence.

The position sits at various North American APS sites including Houston, Mansfield, Perrysburg, and more, with travel required to support APS Americas manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Health & Safety, or related technical discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of experience supporting HSE programs within chemical, polymers, polymer compounding, specialty chemicals, or related industrial operations.
• Experience leading HSE improvement initiatives and supporting manufacturing operations.
• Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, environmental, occupational health, and safety regulatory requirements.
• Experience supporting audits, incident investigations, corrective action management, and compliance programs.
• Strong written, verbal, facilitation, and presentation skills.
• Ability to travel throughout the United States and Mexico to support APS Americas manufacturing sites.

Responsibilities

• Serve as regional HSE subject matter expert and strategic leader for US and Mexico manufacturing operations.
• Provide governance, support, and technical guidance to strengthen HSE performance and compliance.
• Lead regional alignment of HSE expectations and best practices across APS Americas.
• Investigate significant HSE incidents, perform root-cause analyses, and verify corrective actions.
