Job summary

LyondellBasell is seeking an APS Americas HSE Manager to lead and govern regional HSE programs across the United States and Mexico. You will partner with site leadership, manufacturing support staff, and global networks to strengthen HSE performance and ensure compliance with GoalZERO objectives.

The role requires strong leadership, risk-reduction focus, and the ability to travel to multiple sites across North America.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, EHS, or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience supporting HSE programs in chemical/polymers or related operations.
• Experience leading HSE improvement initiatives in manufacturing.
• Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA and related regulatory requirements.
• Experience with audits, incident investigations, corrective actions, and compliance programs.
• Strong written, verbal, facilitation and presentation skills.
• Willingness to travel across the United States and Mexico for sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead HSE governance and drive regional implementation of GOALZERO programs.
• Partner with site leadership and networks to strengthen HSE performance.
• Coach, mentor, and develop manufacturing site HSE capabilities.
• Support incident learning, risk reduction, and continuous improvement.
• Conduct governance of HSE systems, tools, and processes.
• Support audits, regulatory inspections, and action plan closures.
• Provide guidance on environmental stewardship and regulatory compliance.
• Assist in emergency preparedness, security, and crisis response.
