Job summary

Deutsche Bank is seeking a Head of Energy Compliance, Americas in New York, NY. In this role, you will provide real-time guidance to FIC Energy, set compliance frameworks for the energy businesses, and challenge new initiatives to ensure controlled expansion across products and markets.

You will lead policy development, training, and regulatory interactions, while collaborating with regional and global teams to sustain strong controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent; JD or MBA a plus.
• Strong energy and derivatives regulatory experience.
• Experience with energy products (power, gas, emissions, oil).
• Functional knowledge of US fixed income and derivative trading regulation; familiarity with securities regulation.
• Experience providing compliance coverage to sales or trading desks.
• Ability to leverage AI tools responsibly to improve productivity.

Responsibilities

• Communicate requirements to business areas on policies and applicable laws; draft and implement procedures.
• Provide regulatory training; assist in documenting supervisory/control mechanisms.
• Participate in investigations, respond to inquiries, and coordinate audits; interact with regulators.
• Coordinate with Testing and Surveillance on oversight activities and risk assessments.
