Job summary

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Director of Trade Controls Americas based in New Brunswick, NJ, with consideration for other US sites. You will guide the trade controls strategy across Innovative Medicines and Medical Technology, collaborating with Trade Operations, Health Care Compliance, and the Global Legal Organization to ensure import/export compliance across the Americas.

The role leads a regional team, drives risk assessment, data/process improvements, and governance across enterprise

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required; a master’s or other advanced degree is preferred.
• A minimum of 10 years overall business experience in Global Trade Compliance, Risk Management and management of large cross-functional programs.
• Relevant customs license/certification (for ex, Licensed Customs Broker) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead trade controls strategy across the Americas in collaboration with Trade Operations, Health Care Compliance, and Global Legal Organization.
• Ensure compliance with import/export rules for the Americas region.
• Direct Americas valuation activities in close partnership with Global Valuation lead and regional teams.
• Establish, communicate and measure proposed solutions for Americas trade related data and processes.
• Drive global scorecards and remediation, improving metrics.
• Participate in and influence compliance forums across J&J and externally.
• Supervise third party providers, where required.
• Communicate impact of key trade changes.
• Risk-adjust global third-party supplier services and supervise providers.
• Continually improve our culture of controls, accountability, and resiliency.
