Job summary

Johnson & Johnson’s Global Trade Compliance group seeks a Director, Trade Controls Americas based in New Brunswick, NJ, to lead the trade controls strategy across Innovative Medicines and Medical Technology, collaborating with cross-functional partners and regional teams.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree with preferred advanced degree, and experience managing complex regulatory programs, remediation, and data initiatives. Travel up to 25% is possible; open to other US sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; master's or advanced degree preferred.
• Ability to leverage import/export regulatory knowledge to ensure business continuity and remediating risks.
• Experience defining, assessing, and measuring regulatory compliance programs against global SOPs and standards.
• Proven track record delivering complex programs through influence rather than authority.

Responsibilities

• Deploy enterprise standards in partnership with compliance functions and regional teams.
• Advise segments on existing and emerging trade regulations; support audit remediation and filing requirements.
• Direct Americas valuation activities with Global Valuation lead and regional teams.
• Establish and communicate solutions for trade data, processes, and automation aligned with enterprise strategy.
• Drive global scorecards, incident management, gaps remediation, and metric improvements.
• Participate in compliance forums across J&J and externally.
• Supervise third-party providers when required.
• Communicate impact of key trade changes.
• Risk adjust third-party services and supervise providers.
