Job summary

The Global Trade Compliance (GTC) organization at Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Director, Trade Controls Americas based in New Brunswick, NJ, with consideration given to other US J&J sites. You will lead the trade controls strategy and supervise a team across the Americas, partnering with Trade Operations, Health Care Compliance, and Legal to ensure compliant import/export activities.

You will drive risk-based regulatory programs, align global SOPs, and enhance data, processes and automation.

Qualifications

• 10+ years experience in global trade compliance or related risk management
• Experience leading large cross-functional programs
• Licensed customs broker or similar certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Develop and drive trade controls strategy across the Americas
• Lead cross-functional collaboration with Trade Operations, Health Care Compliance and Legal
• Oversee compliance with import/export rules and regulatory requirements
• Manage a team of Trade Controls professionals across the Americas
• Drive data, process and automation improvements and performance metrics
• Communicate regulatory changes and impact to stakeholders
• Identify and remediate risks across regions
